My kids are lucky to have such involved and darling sets of Grandparents who make everything so fun. I like the differences in the dynamic aspects of parent vs. grandparent roles. Grandparents are allowed to give in, spoil and treat any time anyplace. Parents keep it in check and if they spoil, often feel it was a mistake. I think deep down we all want to reward and treat, however it can come with consequences, it is good grandparents are there to embellish without worry. (Here are some pictures are of Jake's parents at our Memorial camping trip).

We used to do this to my dad when we were kids. We would be asleep in the camper and he would reach up, tickle us and then we would jump on him.

This is a Grandpa hobby that is so addictive...yes I am talking about birdwatching. We love hummingbirds and notice I am holding the feeder. Isn't that cool.
Going to stay warm this winter.
